Dan, our Head Trainer, co-ordinates client programmes with the practitioners, and works with personal training and coaching clients directly. Dan has over 13 years experience as a personal trainer having studied with YMCA, previously working at Holmes Place and as a freelance personal trainer, before setting up Genesis in 2010. As well as working with the body, Dan enjoys changing the habbits of the mind. He is a qualified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner having studied with PPD Learning. Dan has an MA in Chemistry from Oxford University.

Chris is an experienced REPs 3 Personal Trainer, with a passion for fitness which is unrivalled. His specialism is in the field of core strength/ stability training and weight loss. Chris became a Director of the business in 2015.

 

Chris holds a National Diploma in Sports Science, a Level 3 NVQ in Sports Management, and is a REPs 3 Advanced Instructor. Chris is an expert in effecting dramatic body transformations and teaches our high energy Boxing classes.

Greatest achievement :

Succesfully climbing a V12 route. It was pretty tough (climbers will understand).

 

Loic is our Sports Therapist. He regulary works with professional athletes from various disciplines : triathlon, paralympic athletes, bobsleigh, boxing, ironman.

He specialises in injury treatment and prevention through the use of different manual techniques - sports and deep tissue massage, medical acupuncture, joint manipulation and kinesiology taping.

Loic is also studying to become a personal trainer so he can help more people rehabilitate their injuries.

Victoria is a REPs 3 qualified Personal Trainer, with a passion for exercise and is a natural motivator.

Victoria is also an England Athletics coaching assistant; a martial arts instructor (3rd Dan Black Belt in Wu Shu Kwan Chinese Kickboxing). She is also a competitive runner (Age graded 79%) at distances from 3k to marathon and has completed over 20 marathons (after having a baby). Victoria has a Masters degree from Goldsmiths, University of London and comes from a project management background.

Andrew is a REPS level 4 personal trainer. He has trained athletes who have medaled at national championships and competed through to amateur world championships. He has a primary focus on cardiovascular sport performance. Andrew is qualified to train patients with a range of medical conditions referred by a GP (eg cardiac rehabiliation and stroke). Andrew has also competed in 3 sports as a junior at National Championships (including Sailing and Athletics). As a senior elite cyclist he competed internationally for many seasons, becoming Regional Champion and a Category 1 - 2 Cycling Coach. He has also been down to a 4 handicap in golf.

I am a nutritional therapist who trained at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), completing my three year nutritional therapy diploma in 2013, achieving a distinction, and winning the Ian Marber (Food Doctor) award for 'Outstanding Literature Review', an academic research paper relating to Alzheimer's disease and Omega-3 fatty acids. I consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. My areas of specialism within nutritional therapy include sports nutrition, fat loss, energy & fatigue and IBS.

Susan Harker is a qualified Biokineticist whose passion is to help her clients improve their quality of life through exercise and movement, in particular using Pilates. Since attaining her degree in 1998 Susan has a long list of REP’s qualifications in the treatment of injuries relating to the lower back, ankles, hip, groin, arms and shoulders, as well as rehabilitation following ACL surgery. By combining her advanced expertise of Pilates with her work as a Biokineticist she helps her clients to feel stronger, with improved balance, flexibility and posture.

Sara is a Massage Therapist specialising in Deep Tissue, Sports & Therapeutic Massage.

She has 6 years of experience working with a variety of clients. She has been the Therapist for dancers at the Royal Ballet and also for the Washington Ballet (more specifically with Rolanda Sarabia).

She is a voracious learner who is constantly striving to master different techniques and deepen her understanding of the mind body connection (Neuro-Emotional techniques, Metnagenealogy...).

In the past, she has been a member of the Association of Entrepreuneur of Malaga in Spain.

Blake, our apprentice trainer, is qualified as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor and is currently undertaking his Level 3 Personal Training apprenticeship.

With a background as a long distance runner, Blake has always been involved in fitness but has taken his training in a new direction, focusing on bodyweight strength and explosiveness to take on tough mudders and other hardcore challenges all over the UK.

She teaches groups as well as one to one, retreats and workshops.
